Iowa Stallion Stakes Nomination Form
For Foals of 2023 eligible to run in the
2025 Stallion Futurity & 2026 Stallion Stakes
Purses Up To $70,000 Per Race – Sponsored by the Iowa Thoroughbred Breeders & Owners Association
All progeny of the following Stallions sold at the ITBOA’s 2020 Stallion Auction are eligible to be nominated.
This one-time nomination payment provides eligibility for foals of 2023, sired by a stallion consigned to and sold in the December 2021 ITBOA Stallion Service Auction for the 2022 breeding season, to compete in the 5 1/2 fur 2025 Stallion Futurity and the 2026 Stallion Stakes.
THE THREE YEAR OLD RACE WILL HAVE A FILLY AND A COLT/GELDING DIVISION (Both at 1 mile 70 yds).
Iowa-bred status is not a condition for eligibility.
Nomination Schedule:
December 2, 2024 – $200.00 (ITBOA Members)
$300 (non-members)
Late entries by March 1, 2025 – $500.00
Supplemental Nomination at Time of Entry – $15,000.00 Per Race
Nominations must be postmarked on or before the due date.
No refunds or substitutions. Any returned checks will void nominations. All nominated and eligible horses are subject to starting and entry fees.
These nominations and all stake races are subject to the rules and regulations of the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission. The Racing Secretary and the Iowa Thoroughbred Breeders and Owners Association reserve the right to split or combine races. In the event that these stake races cannot be held at Prairie Meadows Racetrack & Casino, the Association board members may at their discretion hold these races at another race track or refund nominations. The decisions of the track officials shall be final in all matters. Weights and conditions shall be determined by the Racing Secretary. Starters to be named through the entry box at normal closing time of entries set by the Racing Secretary. Change of ownership does not affect the eligibility of the horse.
